Last week I shared why growing your connections on LinkedIn can significantly affect your business. As we took a closer look we saw that LinkedIn’s search platform is directly related to your connection base. In addition we reviewed how your ability to be introduced to new prospect is directly related to your connections as well. You can see the entire article here…
This week I wanted to share some of the top super connected people on LinkedIn. These are people you should do your best to connect with as you will see they are movers and shakers in business and the LinkedIn space.

Randy,
I just had Khan Ozol request a 1st level connection with me because of this blog post. You are the Super Connector my friend, and you should have been at the top of the list. The value you add to the greater social media community through your group Twitter Strategies which I am a member of is simply amazing. You pulled me into the Twitter space while I was growing the Top Recommended People group on Linkedin, of which of course, you are a member.
I am honored to be 1st level connected to you Randy, and able to engage with you on an ongoing basis. The social media space would not be the same without you…..
Thanks,
Ross

Hey Randy,
Thank you for including me on your list! It is an honor that you have recognized me together with the names of some of the most famous LinkedIn-related people.
I did want to point out two things to you:
- First of all my name should be Neal Schaffer…the link is correct but the actual linktext is incorrect.
- I also did a similar post on the Top LinkedIn LIONs and Super Connectors that you should connect with that you and your readers might find interesting. You can find it here: http://windmillnetworking.com/2009/07/17/10-linkedin-lions-super-connectors-you-must-invite-connect/

Hi-
I have been a connector all my life. My tagline is even “connecting the dots”. It’s just part of my DNA. However, I do not connect with folks on LinkedIn that I don’t know in some way, shape or form (that is, met, talked to voice to voice, or is a good friend of a friend, etc.). The power of networking is, IMHO, being able to refer the person to some degree.
Best,
Barb

Thanks Randy!
Hi Randy,
I am honored and humbled to be included in your list of LinkedIn Super Connectors. It is a privelege to be counted among such fine businesspeople and, more importantly, fine human beings.
The fact that a list like this can even be compiled in the first place is testimonial to the power of Social Media. LinkedIn, especially, It is truly a force that is redirecting lives, creating opportunities that may not have otherwise existed, and lifting spirits.
Looking forward to moving forward,

Randy,
Thank you for the excellent post. I’ve resisted Open Networking on LinkedIn for years, for similar reasons to those expressed by Barb Finer in her comment above. I do see the value in connecting with the folks on your list though.
I have a rather simple question. How do I send them an invitation to connect, if I don’t have their email address? You included yours in the post, and Lori Ruff had hers on her comment, but I don’t have all day to scavenge email addresses. Other than joining mutual groups, is there some easy way to be able to send an invitation to connect without an email address?
Regards,
Ted Cook

Hi Randy,
I’m a professional recruiter and I see that I am connected to my target candidates through LinkedIn through local, relevant connections consistently much more than through the super connectors.
And with LinkedIn limiting my invites to only 3,000 and 30,000 connections, I have changed by attitude of being an open networker to being one of a RELEVANT networker.
You and the readers of this blog should check out SocialGrow at http://socialgrow.com. It’s a startup that automates the process of adding RELEVANT connections on LinkedIn and other networks quickly and easily.
And it’s a great idea to follow SocialGrow on Twitter @socialgrow.
Marsh Sutherland
Great list of names, but limited to the USA.
And with that you forget that we are in a global connected world.
Kind regards,
Jan Mulder
Ted, most of them have an email address on their profile
Marsh,
Thanks for the link, It is great to be able to connect to your local target market as well to those you know. However this does not display the true business capabilities found in LinkedIn’s Process’s. Through your connections- connections you are able to tap into so much more from finding “targeted” prospects, lead generation, secure appointments, and more. Which is something you would be doing at local networking events anyway.
It is very important to understand the process’s in place and the capabalities they offer to do online what you have been doing offline all along.
Jan,
Thanks for the post. John L. Evans the most connected “U.K.” member on LinkedIn well over 20,000 connections I believe is listed above.
